A painting can be adapted, or created new, around a real wall — its size and proportion, the colours of the room, and the frame that finishes it.

Size
Scaled to the wall, the alcove or the furniture beneath it.
Proportion
Taller, wider or square, composed for the shape of the space.
Colour palette
Tones tuned to the room’s walls, textiles and light.
Framing
Floating, wooden, gold or coloured — or a clean gallery edge.
The art

“I believe a painting becomes truly meaningful when it finds the right space and the right person.”
